Our Story

After years in the corporate apparel graphic design world, Cidery founder Trent was at a crossroads—seeking a more meaningful path that blended creativity with a connection to nature , tradition, and community. In 2018 He purchased a historic cottage and charming barn in the heart of Granville, Ohio—a picturesque village steeped in New England character and surrounded by small family run orchards. Inspired by the beauty of the setting and a desire to create something meaningful, he took a leap of fate and set out to transform the barn into a cidery.

A serendipitous Instagram connection led Trent to Garrett, a fellow Ohioan and one of the country’s most skilled cidermakers, then working at a renowned craft cidery in northern Vermont. What began as a casual cider tasting during a holiday visit quickly evolved into a shared vision—and soon, a partnership. Garrett joined the venture as head cidermaker and part owner.

Born from Garrett’s deep expertise in heirloom apple varieties and artisanal cider-making, and Trent’s eye for branding and design, Seek-No-Further Cider Co. was officially opened in June of 2021.

Named for the rare Seek-No-Further apple—an heirloom variety that originated just miles from Granville, Massachusetts—our cider is a tribute to craft, connection, and the unique flavors of both New England and Ohio.

To source the very best fruit, we’ve scouted legendary orchards across the Northeast, including Poverty Lane in New Hampshire, Scott Farm Orchard in Vermont, and Ricker Hill in Maine. We also proudly partner with top-tier Ohio growers such as Legend Hills Orchard, Branstool Orchards, Hugus Fruit Farm, and Charlie’s Apples to bring exceptional local Ohio terroir into every blend.
